CJCH Solicitors won Financial & Professional Service Business of the Year Award at this year’s awards. Here’s what they had to say:
1. How did it feel to win a Cardiff Business Award?
Being part of the event, itself was spectacular, but then when they announced our Firm, it was surreal. We had every faith in our achievements, but to be recognised by this committee is a true milestone.
2. How did you find the experience of the Awards night?
The reputation and calibre of the event preceded itself, and so we invited key guests such as a new client and our bank manager to join us. The event was a grand affair which surpassed our expectations and was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
3. How do you strive to make a difference in the Cardiff Business market?
For us at CJCH, the key is being part of the community. Not just giving back, but actually being actively involved. One of our focus areas within our DNA is to grow and develop talent. We recruit from universities in the area and cultivate our team’s skills and knowledge through dedicated training programmes. Our aim is to add to the Cardiff talent pool and establish it as a global business and innovation powerhouse.
4. What are your goals for the next 12 months?
Innovation. We have already embarked on a number of new projects in our firm which are evolutions of the work we have done to date. We want to continue driving exceptional client service delivery, while discovering solutions to the problems our clients are facing on a global scale.
5. What is the biggest lesson you have learned in the past year as a company?
The biggest lesson we have learnt is perseverance. Although we are now an established Firm with a global operation, we were a collection of high street firms just seven or eight years ago. Many told us we couldn’t achieve what we set out to do, and now we have more than trebled our own predictions in terms of grown and client delivery.
6. What one piece of advice would you give to any aspiring business owner?
Don’t try do it alone. You will be surprised how much talent and experience we have here in Cardiff, and more so, how eager other business owners are to collaborate. If we put ego aside in business, we can do incredible things together as a collective community.
