Llongyfarchiadau! Congratulations!
Screen Alliance Wales – Third Sector Organisation of the Year 2022.
Why did you enter the Cardiff Business Awards?
We wanted our work to be more visible to the business community of Cardiff.
What did winning mean for you or your business?
A recognition of our organisations aims, ambitions and achievements.
What did you think of the awards ceremony?
We really enjoyed the evening; our only comment is that we felt that some elements of the audience were a little rowdy when the awards were being announced.
What’s been a challenge for you or your business during the last year and how did you overcome it?
COVID has been an ongoing challenge in the Film & TV Industry, particularly with Screen Alliance Wales to maintain the level of studio tours when COVID protocols are in place but using other ways of engagement has grown massively.
What’s been a highlight for you or your business over the last year and why?
Gaining recognition, we were nominated for a number of Awards and winning this was a massive highlight.
What are your goals for 2023?
Continue to build our brand, not only in the Cardiff region but throughout Wales, our current engagement is now over 33,000 people. We have achieved this by outreach both digital and in person, tours, work shadowing and paid placements
What’s the best thing about running a business in the Cardiff?
So many aspects, but the location, the infrastructure, the support from the Council, Welsh Government, the Broadcasters and the Production Companies are integral to running a business in Cardiff.
